The Verbeke Foundation celebrates its 15th anniversary with a one-year exhibition, devoted exclusively to its own collection. For 15 years now, the foundation has been a place where art and nature come together, offering another way of presenting and experiencing art, far from the codes of institutional museums.
Like the foundation itself, the collection brings together a wide variety of works: collages and assemblages, photo installations, BioArt, Land art, industrial heritage. The collection of the Verbeke Foundation is a living one which grows continuously. On the occasion of the opening, we are happy to present to you some of our new acquisitions, as well as new projects and in-situ installations.
In this new research I examine the way in which the Greek government deals with the crime of rape. This project is departed from an ongoing research on systemic inequality and
the role of patriarchy as an engine to reinforce gender inequality.The installation is inspired by the Greek #metoo movement and consists of a series of analogue photos and more.
