'Argo' is a experimental  animation movie presented during the  Crisis-To Decide event that I organized in Dublin and Athens.  The film is a combination of 3d animation and super 8 film and took its name from the Greek myth 'Jason and the Argonaftes'. The film shows a reversal of the myth where modern Argo is submerged and the survivors are trying to escape. Argo is focusing on the state of Being Trapped. This is a state many people are in and can not escape from it. This is a phenomenon that I saw in Greece but also in other societies where austerity measurements were applied. The movie is very much inspired by computer games. That is to be seen in the technique, aesthetics, the narratives as well as the warfigures added to it such as a sub-marine and a warship.

CRISIS TO DECIDE EVENT 2013-2014

I invited a cross of participants from global activism, academics, artists and architects to exchanged their collective experiences of the current crisis. The purpose of this dinner-event was that together with all the participants we collectively returned to the Greek origin of the ancient Greek word 'crisis' and its original definition of to judge, think, distinguish, explain, qualify and to decide. The dinner event refers also to the "symposium" that was a significant event for the ancient geek aristocracy to debate and discuss.
